Naomi and Richie got married at the stunning venue of Pura Vida in Silves. From the moment we rocked up on their special day, emotions were running high and it was hard not to get caught up in it. As I’ve written in previous blog posts I do cry at the weddings we shoot, sometimes it’s hard not too but for this wedding it was IMPOSSIBLE not too! Throughout Naomi’s bridal prep different things would trigger the realisation that it was her wedding day, her moment, a day she had dreamed about for so long. From us arriving, to receiving her gift from Richie as well as giving her gifts to her bridesmaids and mum; to seeing Richie walk to greet the guests off the boat; to seeing her hair a makeup done by her close friends; to getting into her wedding dress. Each moment was a moment drawing her closer to marrying the love of her life.
Touchingly Naomi and Richie had organised a surprise for Richie’s mum in the form of some dear friends that she hadn’t seen in years. They managed to get them to Portugal and to the venue by boat and Richie’s mum had no idea. Naomi could see the whole thing from her window as she was getting ready. Cue more tears!
The rest of the day unfolded beautifully, as they married on the lake while their guests watched on from the beach next to it. Pura Vida is a pretty unique venue and the perfect place for a relaxed and fun wedding. This really was a day filled with love and laughter and tears from beginning to end. We took the happy couple off for their couple shots around the grounds which was perfect for them to get some alone time (with us in tow) and take in the day. The speeches were pretty emotional (see the theme I have going here!), Noami’s mother Lorraine broke everyone down with her words about her beloved daughter and Naomi’s brother gave the final speech and who ever wasn’t crying before then certainly did afterwards!
Huge congratulations to these awesome two
