Welcome to the website of Birch photography & thank you for taking the time to visit us.

We are Dan & Natasha Birch, husband & wife team, owners of two dogs, a cat and proud parents to our baby boy. We are lucky enough to really enjoy working together and share the same passion for photography. We’re both pretty laid back and have silly sense of humours so when we think no one’s listening we’ll be cracking dumb jokes to each other and laughing at things that probably aren’t even funny but we’re self confessed dorks!

As well as being our job and passion in life, photography is also our creative outlet, We both have different styles which compliment each other. Dan loves photographs with vibrant strong colours and details and Natasha is passionate about black and white photography and abstracts.

These differences in style & sight make our business what it is today and we’re proud of that. We continually support, encourage and push each to be better and better with each passing day. Each day we learn new things and are inspired by new people.

Now a little bit about us:

Dan was born and raised in the Algarve. Natasha was born and raised in London. It was at the age of 16/17 that we both decided we wanted to venture away from home and attend a 6th form college in the UK which is where we met and became great friends. Sadly we lost touch after we left and it was almost a decade later that we got back in touch and were reunited. It’s safe to say it was love at first sight and we have been inseparable ever since and have never looked back.

Wedding

My style is very relaxed, informal and candid and I like to blend into the background as much as possible whilst capturing the moments of your day as they unfold. I love natural light and work with it as much as possible. All of the photos are edited to my signature style as you can see on my gallery and blog posts so if you like what you see and feel I could be a match, keep reading… As a standard, all packages include a pre-wedding consultation where I can meet for coffee and chat in detail about your day. After the wedding all images will be put into an online gallery for friends and family to view and are then supplied on a USB stick in high resolution.

Real Estate

I have been photographing real estate for over 12 years in the Algarve and work for various agents as well as working for private clients. Property types vary from apartments to villas, bungalows to plots of land. Using the latest camera equipment and wide angle lenses incorporated with aerial photography platforms from poles to drones I can cover all angles of your property, as well as being able to fully prop your villa or apartment, from towels to table settings to food and wine. Included in any commission you will receive photos of all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas and outside areas including pool and gardens.

Family Portrait

Whether you’re here on holiday or live here we love photographing families and letting the moments unfold while I snap around you. Shoots normally last anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour. I am happy to come to a location of your choice anywhere in the Algarve.

Events/Commissions

I have been involved in many different kinds of Commissions, all over the Algarve varying from Dance shows, Boat charters, to bar openings & advertising campaigns, Sports photography such as Triathlons, Golf events, Surfing, and Mountain biking trials, Fashion shows and Aerial photography to name a few. If you have a new business or need some images for your website or company profile I can offer some great packages for this.
